Archant Print has retained a quartet of prestigious external accreditations for Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Management
Archant Print was reaccredited for its ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 18001 Health & Safety, ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 50001 Energy Management.
Director of Thorpe Print Centre, Clive Want, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole team at Thorpe who work so hard to ensure these accreditations are not just a tick box exercise but that they are embedded in our everyday working life”. This year was particularly challenging as the ISO auditor was himself being audited so we knew no stone would go unturned and we had to be at the top of our game. It was pleasing to hear that this lead auditor was also extremely impressed with our standards and work ethic.
Local councils and many contract customers now demand proof of quality, environmental and health & safety standards when we tender for new work. Retaining accreditation for major standards in all four areas at the same time, sends a strong message to customers, shareholders and the industry.
These standards apply to all business sectors and are internationally recognised. To achieve accreditation a company must satisfy an external auditor it has a comprehensive business management system in place that covers all the requirements.
The accreditations are: the ISO 9001:2008 Standard (Quality Management System), the ISO 14001:2004 Standard (Environmental Management System) and the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard (Health and Safety Management system.) and ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management Systems.
